Day 1 Tokyo

Konichiwa friends and family,
Well i survived day 1 in Tokyo. I may even go as far as to say I’m thriving. As i write this it’s 11pm on Thursday here. I spent most of this day on the plane, i think I’ve been up for 24 hrs ish but idk it doesn’t really feel like that at all. I’m excited for some deep rest tonight.
I originally had hoped to immediately jump into the delicious food culture but the airline fed us 3 different times (Surprisingly decent) and so that will have to wait until tomorrow.
I’ve noticed that the phone addiction that is oh so intense in the USA is seemingly worse here. The lack of eye contact has been interesting, but I’m holding out hope.
Notables: THERE ARE BIDETS ON THE AIRPLANE… anyone who knows me knows how unbelievably stoked I was for this, as leaving my home bidet is one of the few things i don’t like about travel, don’t have to worry about that here- they literally don’t have toilets without them. How it should be. Ya girl is pleased.
7.11 is not 7/11 here it’s way way way better. They have organic fruit and non toxic face masks (which I’m obviously wearing right now.)
I spent the evening getting a 2 hour Thai massage to sluff of the airplane and prep for my night of shut eye.
Speaking of that’s all I’ve got for you for my short few hours in Tokyo.
